Down Draught Problems

Down Draught Problems

Here’s a quick check you can do to see if your appliance is suffering from draught problems. All you need is a lighter or match.
Firstly, ensure that the doors and windows are closed in the rooms which may affect your appliance. Next, just open the door to your appliance very slightly (there should be no more than a one-inch gap). Then, strike your match or operate the lighter and hold next to opening made between door and appliance. What way is your match or lighter blowing?
Blowing in towards the appliance? That’s great! This shows your appliance has a good draught, which will help with efficient burning.
Blowing away from the appliance? Not so great – Your appliance may be susceptible to down draught problems. There are many reasons why and some can be overcome with a little help!
